China 2007: A spicy welcome

When I went to Maui (one of the hawaian islands), I was welcomed with Lei flowers, the traditional airport greeting in Hawaii.
Flowers smell so good !

Here in Yunnan, in this fake village (for tourists), this guy seems to welcome tourists with spicy greeting ?
