Verdon (France)
These pictures come from my first raid with UCPA. I unfortunately didn't do the whole trip as I hurt badly my left knee, unable to walk after 2 days walking in this beautiful region.
Verdon is about 2 hours driving from Aix en Provence. There's almost one road to get there, and during summer you can stay stuck during a long time...
We started from La Palud sur Verdon, the village where UCPA settled its center. Our group was about 12 people. We had to take with us all our clothes and stuff for the whole week. Every day, a new place where to eat and sleep.
We didn't sleep the first night at the center, but a bit far away from the center, closer to our start point, and slept under this tipi... That was my first experience. We were about 8 to sleep there.
As the photo doesn't show it, this tipi was quite big and offered a lot of space. That was a magic night, but quite cold by the way... even in august !

And this is the Verdon, so crowdy during hot season, a lot of people every where... but the color is so gorgeous ...
